We will never forget September 11, 2002 - The day the world cried.
So many lost their
lives that day. It was a normal Tuesday morning
and I was on the way to the New Jersey shore with my high school
girlfriends. The Today Show lineup was interrupted to tell us that
a "small" plane had hit the World Trade Center. We all thought it
was an accident, but then I started to think how could you not see
the building? I watched in horror as the second plane hit.
Then I knew.
Some sick, evil person had planned an attack on America.
We left for the beach as planned, but our heart wasn't in it. When
we arrived we just sat in the house glued to the TV. We watched
until dinner time, then went to a restaurant to eat. We were glued
to the TV at the restaurant. After dinner we just came home.
There was no point in staying any longer.
I have a son in the military. Would he be called? I feared the
worst, but so far he is still home with us. I find myself reading
everything I can get my hands on about September 11th. Why
can't I let it go? It is a horror so great that it sickens me to think
of it. I want revenge. I don't want us to stop until he is caught.
I can't even say his name. How can anyone kill innocent people
and laugh about it?
I pray everyday that we will never see that horror again. But
my worst fear is that it will become an everyday occurrence,
like in the Middle East. I only hope that we can stop this madness
before it is too late.
Let us overcome this evil and come out of it a better country.
Until then we are all "In God's Hands".

"Little Did She Know She'd Kissed a Hero" is a 3
Kleenex song.
It's about the people in the tower and on the
planes, ordinary
people who just left for work that day like no other

God Bless the USA - Liberty for all.

Read this
excerpt from a Romanian Newspaper. The article
was written by Mr. Cornel Nistorescu and
published under the title "C"ntarea Americii
meaning "Ode To America") on September 24,
2001 in the Romanian newspaper
Evenimentulzilei ("The Daily Event" or "News
of the Day").
~An Ode
to America~
Why are
Americans so united? They would not resemble
one
another even if You painted them all one
color! They speak all the languages of the
world and form an astonishing mixture of
civilizations and religious beliefs.
Still,
the American tragedy turned three hundred
million
people into a hand put on the heart. Nobody
rushed to
accuse the White House, the army, and the
secret
services that they are only a bunch of losers.
Nobody
rushed to empty their bank accounts. Nobody
rushed out onto the streets nearby to gape
about. The Americans volunteered to donate
blood and to give a helping hand.
After the
first moments of panic, they raised their flag
over
the smoking ruins, putting on T-shirts, caps
and ties in
the colors of the national flag. They
placed flags on buildings and cars as if in
every place and on every car a government
official or the president was passing.
On every
occasion, they started singing their
traditional song: "God Bless America!" I
watched the live broadcast and rerun after
rerun for hours listening to the story of the
guy who went down one hundred floors with a
woman in a wheelchair without knowing who she
was, or of the Californian hockey player, who
gave his life fighting with the terrorists and
prevented the plane from hitting a target that
could have killed other hundreds or thousands
of people.
How on
earth were they able to respond united as one
human being? Imperceptibly, with every word
and musical note, the memory of some turned
into a modern myth of tragic heroes. And
with every phone call, millions and millions
of dollars were put in a collection aimed at
rewarding not a man or a family, but a spirit,
which no money can buy.
What on
earth can unite the Americans in such a way?
Their land? Their galloping history? Their
economic Power? Money? I tried for hours to
find an answer, humming songs and murmuring
phrases with the risk of sounding commonplace.
I thought
things over, but I reached only one
conclusion...
Only
freedom can work such miracles.

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more
perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility,
provide for the common Defense, promote the general
Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and
our Prosperity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for
the United States of America.

THE DAY THE BELLS RANG OUT
The Day of the Declaration of Independence
July 4, 1776
During the day, the streets of Philadelphia were crowded
with people anxious to learn the decision.
In the steeple of the old State House was a bell on which
a happy coincidence, was inscribed: "Proclaim liberty
throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof."
In the morning, when Congress assembled, the bell-ringer
went to his post, having placed his boy below to announce
when the Declaration was adopted, that his bell might be
the first to peal forth the glad tidings.
Long he waited while the deliberations went on. Impatiently,
the old man shook his head and repeated: "They will never
do it! They will never do it!"
Suddenly he heard his boy clapping his hands and shouting:
"Ring! Ring!"
Grasping the iron tongue, he swung it to and fro, proclaiming
the glad news of liberty, to all the land.
The crowded streets caught up the sound. Every steeple
re-echoed it, and all that night, by shouts and illuminations,
and the booming of cannon, the people declared their joy!

There are No Americans in Iraq!

If you look closely
at the picture above, you will note that all the
Marines pictured are bowing their heads. That's because
they're
praying. The incident took place at a recent ceremony honoring
the birthday of the corps, and it has the ACLU up in arms.
"These
are federal employees," says Lucius Traveler, a spokesman for
the ACLU "on federal property and on federal time. For them to
pray is clearly an establishment of religion, and we must nip this
in the bud immediately." When asked about the ACLU's charges,
Colonel Jack Fessender, speaking for the Commandant of the
Corps said (cleaned up a bit),
"Screw the ACLU."
